Power

You can choose from three engines for the 2020 Blazer, but the 2020 Sorento is only available with two options. The standard engine powering the Chevy Blazer is the ECOTEC® 2.5-liter four-cylinder, which puts out 193 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. That’s more than the Kia Sorento’s standard 2.4-liter DOHC I-4 engine, which manages just 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque.

The 2020 Blazer is also available with a 2.0-liter turbo engine that generates 230 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The 2020 Sorento does not have a comparable engine.

The Chevy Blazer’s 3.6-liter V6 cranks out 308 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The Kia Sorento’s 3.3-liter V6 just can’t compete, offering up 290 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque.

    Connectivity

    Both the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer and the 2020 Kia Sorento come standard with an infotainment system, each of which offer Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. The Kia Sorento, however, delivers its system over a seven-inch diagonal touchscreen. The Chevy Blazer, on the other hand, boasts a superior eight-inch screen.

      Drive Mode

      The Chevrolet Blazer allows you to better control your driving experience. While the 2020 Kia Sorento has a Smart Shift & Drive system that selects a drive mode for you based on what it thinks you need, the 2020 Chevy Blazer gives you the freedom to choose from among five drive modes: Tour, Tow/Haul, Sport, Off-Road, and All-Wheel Drive.
