2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
The 2020 Silverado 1500 offers a choice between six potent engines: a 2.7-liter turbo with Active Fuel Management, a 4.3-liter V6 with Active Fuel Management, a 5.3-liter V8 with either Active or Dynamic Fuel Management, a class-leading 6.2-liter V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management, and the new 3.0-liter Duramax® turbo diesel.
The 6.2-liter V8 delivers best-in-class 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, and provides a best-in-class towing capacity of 13,400 pounds. The 2020 Silverado 1500 is also notable for its class-leading cargo bed — the Durabed — which offers up to 20 percent more cargo volume than other pickup trucks (up to 89.1 cubic feet), high-strength roll-formed steel, 12 standard tie-downs (more than any competitor), and the industry’s first power-up/-down tailgate.
2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD
Need something even more powerful? The heavy-duty models — the 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD — give you the choice between a 6.6-liter V8 direct-injection engine and a Duramax 6.6-liter turbo diesel V8. With the gas engine, both Silverado models crank out 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. Those numbers jump to 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque for the turbo diesel. With the turbo-diesel engine, the Silverado 2500HD can tow up to 18,500 pounds. Not to be outdone, the Silverado 3500HD can tow up to 35,500 pounds with that same engine.
Advanced safety features available for the 2020 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD include Front and Rear Park Assist, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, IntelliBeam high beam assist, and the Safety Alert Seat.
